Dr.
Hovis is board certified by the American Board of
Ophthalmology. Dr. Hovis joined Columbus Eye
Associates in 1993. Dr. Hovis received his
Bachelors Degree from the Brigham Young University
in Provo, Utah and his Doctor of Medicine Degree
from the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston,
Texas. Dr. Hovis served his internship at
Baylor College of Medicine Affiliated Hospitals and
completed his Ophthalmology residency at the
University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston,
Texas. Dr. Hovis is the past President of the
Texas Ophthalmological Association.

Dr
Learned is board certified by the American Board of
Ophthalmology. Dr. Learned joined Columbus Eye
Associates in 2003. Dr. Learned received her
Bachelors Degree from Texas A&M University in
College Station, Texas; and her Doctor of Medicine
Degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston,
Texas. She served her internship at the Naval
Medical Center in San Diego, California, and
completed her Ophthalmology residency at the Naval
Medical Center in San Diego, California. Dr.
Learned practiced for 2 years in a clinic that
served 125,000 active duty, dependents and retirees
in rural North Carolina. Before joining Columbus Eye
Associates, Dr. Learned ended her 9 year military
career in the Navy as the Assistant Department Head
of a comprehensive Ophthalmology.

Nayar, M.D., F.A.C.S. |

Dr.
Nayar is board certified by the American Board of
Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American
College of Surgeons. Dr. Nayar joined Columbus Eye
Associates in 1996. Dr. Nayar received a
B.A./M.D. Degree from the six year program at the
University of Missouri in Kansas City. He
served his internship at St. John's Mercy Medical
Center in Creve Coeur, Missouri, and completed his
Ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas
Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. He
completed a fellowship in Glaucoma & Anterior
Segment Surgery at the Conner Glaucoma Institute in
Houston, Texas. From 1997 to 2002, he served
as an Assistant Clinical Professor in surgery at the
University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston,
Texas. He has performed Laser Vision
Correction/LASIK since 1999.

Nicole H. Noska, O.D. |

Dr. Noska
is a
Therapeutic Optometrist and is board certified by
the Texas Optometry Board. Dr. Noska
will be joining Columbus Eye Associates on
September 7, 2010. Dr. Nicole Noska earned her
undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree at Texas
A&M University studying Biomedical Science.
While in Optometry School, Dr. Noska was
distinguished as a clinician and was awarded
Excellence in Cornea and Contact Lens and Excellence
in Optics. Dr. Noska was also involved in research
sponsored by the National Eye Institute concerning
the development of binocular vision.
She graduated with honors from the University
Of Houston College Of Optometry earning her Doctor
of Optometry (O.D.) degree in 2004. Since 2004, Dr.
Noska has been providing Therapeutic Optometry
services to the patients of Eyeland Vision in their
Katy Office. Eyeland Vision is an Optometric
practice fully owned and operated by Dr. Khalfe.
Dr. Noska is an active member of the American
Optometric Society and the Texas Optometric Society. |
